How to use the LabVIEW demos
Summary: Explains what a user needs to do in order to make use of the interactive LabVIEW-based examples.

Please see Viewing Embedded LabView Content for the latest information about viewing LabView 8 content.Here are some instructions on how to install the necessary programs for using the LabVIEW-based interactive examples. You will need the Connexions virunner helper application and the LabVIEW 7 Run-Time Engine. Once you have everything set up, you should be able to click on the "Run" link of the examples, and the helper app will run the demonstration for you.
Windows
If you are running Windows and do not have either LabVIEW 7 or the LabVIEW 7 Run-Time Engine, download the first package which contains both (most people should select this item). If you already happen to have LabVIEW 7 or the LabVIEW 7 Run-Time Engine, download the second version
Linux
If you are running Linux on a PC, then you can use this RPM package to install the Connexions virunner helper application. You will also need to have your browser associate the MIME-type application/x-labview-viinfo (extension .viinfo) with the program virunner.py. The helper application requires your system to have Python.
If you do not have LabVIEW 7 or the LabVIEW 7 Run-Time Engine, then you also need the Run-Time Engine RPM package.
